Icebreaking Company is looking for guides for the Icebreakers Sampo and the Arktis for the winter season of 2026-2027. The icebreaker cruises start in the beginning of December and continue until the beginning of April. There are cruises almost daily, usually twice a day. In your work on icebreakers, you will work closely with international groups and be an essential part of the implementation of Icebreaking Company's experiences. On the icebreaker Sampo, you will tour guests on board the ship, getting to know its history, technology and crew. An essential part of guiding at Sampo is entertaining customers, assisting waiters in sales work and cleaning work. On the Icebreakers Sampo and the Arktis, your tasks include dressing our customers to floating suits and assisting them during the ice float. This section requires good general condition. Guides also help arrange transfers from and to SnowCastle. Your Duties Include: - Providing guided tours and useful information to our customers about the vessels, Arctic conditions, and life in Lapland. - Interacting with our customers to ensure every moment of the cruise is enjoyable. - Promoting sales both onboard and onshore. - Assisting passengers during the ice-floating activity, which is physically demanding. - Assisting in cleaning the vessel after the cruise. - Organizing bus transfers between the harbor and the Snowcastle area. We Expect From You: - Fluent English (other language skills are an advantage). - Good physical condition and a hard-working attitude. - A cheerful, positive character with excellent interpersonal skills. - A team player willing to help colleagues and create a positive work atmosphere. - Previous experience in guiding and knowledge of Arctic Finland is a plus, but not essential.
