Your work focuses on customer service: you will handle notifications and contacts in accordance with the Social Welfare Act, perform urgency assessments, provide guidance and service steering, and assess the service needs of working-age clients. The role also includes assessing special services for substance abuse and addiction work. The work is varied and fast-paced. When necessary, you will grant acute services, such as basic social assistance or temporary accommodation, ensure documentation, and operate within multidisciplinary networks. The role involves a developmental approach; you will participate in team meetings, supervision, and continuing education, as well as evaluate impact. Additionally, you will consult and advise partners as needed. Remote work is possible 1-2 days a week, and flexible working hours are available. You will work in a skilled team consisting of 6 social workers, 8 social guidance counselors, a supervising social guidance counselor, and a leading social worker. Nurses from Varha's MIEPÄ services also work at Soihtu. What we expect from you The eligibility requirement for the position is a Bachelor of Social Services (Sosionomi AMK). The language requirement is good proficiency in Finnish and Swedish. Work experience in adult social work and a good understanding of the service system for working-age people and social welfare customer processes are considered an advantage.
