About the role

The post invites you to join as a specialist physician at HUS Diagnostics Center, radiology on the Peijas Hospital X-ray unit. The unit performs a wide range of radiological examinations and procedures. The position requires a specialist qualification in radiology and up-to-date, versatile competence across modalities. Experience in uro-radiology LPV activities is considered an advantage. The role includes teaching medical students and residents, with duties mainly at the Peijas Hospital radiology department and on-call duties. The salary is according to the physician agreement and starts at 6,443.01 euros per month (development stage 2A) with possible experience-based increases; a per-claim payment system is also used. Start date is 1 October 2026 or as agreed. Applicants may be invited for an interview during the application period. Requirements include specialist qualification in an applicable field, licensed physician or permission to practice, Finnish language proficiency with good written and spoken skills and acceptable Swedish or vice versa, and health requirements related to infectious disease vaccination and tuberculosis screening in health care facilities.
