We are seeking a Registered Nurse Instructor for the Vuoksenkaari housing community. The role combines the guidance of clients' daily lives with the nursing expert responsibility of the unit. You will serve as the person responsible for medication management in the unit and participate in the coordination of nursing care and the development of operations together with the supervisor and a multidisciplinary team. Vuoksenkaari is located in Imatra, near downtown services. We provide individual and goal-oriented housing services for people recovering from mental health and substance abuse issues, as well as for people with disabilities. Our work is based on the idea that every client has the opportunity to build a meaningful everyday life of their own with the support of the community. As an instructor, you play an important role in enabling this goal. The work is a two-shift system every day of the year. At Vuoksenkaari, you support clients in their individual recovery goals. Your work includes supporting clients in daily management, medication, nutrition, strengthening inclusion, and building a meaningful daily routine. You will lead groups, perform network work, and support clients according to their goals, for example, in errands and home care tasks. Based on daily situations and discussions, you will assess the psychological, physical, and social well-being of the clients. As a Registered Nurse, you will also serve as the unit's nursing expert. You are responsible for coordinating and developing the overall medication management, participating in the safe implementation of medication therapy, and supporting the work community in nursing-related matters. Additionally, you will participate in the planning, coordination, and development of nursing care together with the supervisor and the team. We expect from you: - a Bachelor of Health Care (Registered Nurse) degree - excellent interaction skills - a self-directed, responsible, and guiding approach to work - willingness to perform kitchen work - willingness to work alone in the evenings and on weekends - good documentation and reporting skills - strong expertise in medication management and willingness to act as the unit's person responsible for medication - ability to coordinate nursing care and develop operations together with the work community - a positive attitude and adaptability to change - valid LOVE medication permits or willingness to complete them before the start of employment We value experience in mental health and substance abuse work, working with special groups, and a recovery-oriented approach.
