The City of Mikkeli's food and cleaning services are seeking a facility caretaker for the government building for a fixed-term employment contract starting August 31, 2026, or by agreement. The application period is August 3–16, 2026. The duties of the facility caretaker include maintenance cleaning of the government building's premises, periodic and basic cleaning tasks, and customer service. Working hours are general working hours 38.25 h/week, with daily working hours mainly between 7:00 and 16:00 on weekdays. The salary for the facility caretaker is €2,230.04/month, plus possible work experience increments; the terms of employment are determined by KVTES. Eligibility for the position is suitable vocational training or sufficient work experience in the field. A hygiene passport is required. Proficiency in the Finnish language is required for the position. The role also includes working at other food and cleaning service sites as needed. Mikkeli's food and cleaning services provide services in daycares, schools, and various public spaces throughout the Mikkeli region. A total of 134 trained professionals in the food and cleaning sectors serve our customers across different properties. Many of our employees are multi-skilled, mastering both professional fields.
