We are seeking a dental hygienist for a fixed-term employment contract at the Hankasalmi dental clinic for the period 31.8. – 31.12.2026. We offer the opportunity to perform the core duties of a dental hygienist with clients of different ages. Tasks include oral health check-ups for children, preventive measures, assessments of treatment needs for adult patients, and anti-infective treatments. Guiding clients in self-care is a central part of the role. You will work in an interesting position as part of a multidisciplinary work community to promote the oral health of the population. We will provide orientation for the position, taking into account your previous work experience and expertise. Working hours are 38.25 hours per week. You may also inquire about the possibility of part-time work. Position-specific salary is €2,965.58/month. In addition to the position-specific salary, we pay work experience increments of 3% for 5 years and 8% for 10 years. Please also note the excellent employment terms of the public sector, for example, regarding vacation days. The accumulation of vacation days is determined by your work experience – the more experience, the more earned vacation days. A dental hygiene student in the final stages of their studies may also be hired for the fixed-term position. Previous experience in dental hygiene work is an advantage but not essential. The terms of employment are determined in accordance with the social and health care labor and official agreement (SOTE agreement). A probationary period applies to the employment. We require suitability in accordance with Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act (chickenpox and measles). The employer determines the need for influenza and pertussis vaccinations. Additionally, we require up-to-date medication competence according to the medication plan or its completion at the start of employment.
