Chief Psychiatrist

We are seeking a permanent, full-time chief physician for the inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services in the Itä- and Keski-Uudenmaan line of psychiatry at HUS. The role combines leadership and clinical work, including medical leadership of outpatient services, personnel management and recruitment, and monitoring of operational and financial targets, while staying connected to clinical work as part of the role. The position involves leading a physician team as a first-line supervisor and actively participating in planning, development and monitoring of services. The department operates in Hyvinkää and Järvenpää in close collaboration with the Wellbeing Services County and other local actors. The job starts 1.10.2026 or as agreed. Salary is determined according to the pay grade system, with a base of 8,413.75 €/month and possible experience and other supplements. Requirements include specialist qualification in psychiatry, experience in administrative or leadership roles in the field, and a license or right to practice medicine in Finland. Finnish and Swedish language skills are required to varying degrees. Vaccination against infectious diseases as required by the Infection Act and tuberculosis clearance are requested.
