We are looking for a Development Manager, Information and Cybersecurity to join the cybersecurity group, part of the Chief Digital Officer office. The function's focus areas include digital strategy, IT governance models, portfolio and project management, enterprise architecture, data management, risk management, security, and supplier relations. Your role: As Development Manager, you strengthen the implementation of information and cybersecurity in the Aalto community. You will continuously look to the horizon: follow technological developments, shape our future roadmap, and identify next-generation solutions. You structure development needs into implementable entities and lead demanding projects as a project manager. You manage the information and cybersecurity project portfolio. You work with Aalto's research, IT services, procurement, and other internal stakeholders and ecosystem partners. Your responsibilities: - Develop the security management system, ensure compliance, and keep procedures and instructions up to date. - Participate in market surveys of information and cybersecurity techniques and propose solutions fitting Aalto's strategy. - Manage the requirement definition process for system and service procurements and evaluate supplier security levels. - Act as project manager for development projects and manage the project portfolio. - Plan and organize internal communication and training to increase security awareness and capability. What we are looking for: - Experience with security management systems and standards (ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, Katakri, VAHTI). - Experience in change management and project management for cybersecurity projects. - Experience in defining, designing, and implementing digitalization solutions with security and privacy by design. - Experience applying internal and external security and regulatory requirements to guidelines. - Knowledge of the latest cybersecurity solutions and technologies. - Long-term vision and skills in planning organizational capabilities and processes. - Critical thinking, problem-solving attitude, and analytical skills. - Communication skills to present complex matters clearly and persuasively, and ability to design communication campaigns. - Change management, collaboration, and influencing skills. - Motivation to work with people to solve multi-dimensional and complex issues. - Compliance expertise (internal rules, external regulation, procurement law, funder terms). - Excellent interaction and collaboration skills, ability to influence decision-makers and balance diverse stakeholder needs. - Ability to work independently and as a team member, security-oriented and solution-focused. - Strong skills in English and Finnish, both spoken and written. - Passion for the field and continuous innovation.
