Job Description
Would you like your work to influence our clients' independent and safe living at home for as long as possible? Now is your chance to utilize your skills extensively in paramedic emergency and safety assistance tasks. We are recruiting nine emergency center dispatchers for permanent positions at the Espoo Situation Center. In this role, you will help build a completely new operation together with other experts in the wellbeing area. You will ensure that our clients receive high-quality and prompt assistance around the clock. You will have a shift-based team responsibility for nursing care and will guide, advise, and support other emergency center dispatchers, as well as be a consultant for safety assistance personnel. You will act as a consultant for staff performing safety assistance tasks and be responsible for team coordination during disturbances and crises, as well as plan and organize training related to safety assistance. Our clients include users of safety assistance services across all municipalities in the wellbeing area. Most clients are elderly. Your other key responsibilities include receiving alerts via the emergency center system, contacting clients, investigating the reasons for alerts, assessing clients' care needs, and providing remote guidance. When necessary, you will direct safety assistance tasks to home visit staff, mobile hospitals, or emergency services, and coordinate services for clients. You will manage the situation picture of safety alerts via the emergency system and monitor the progress of emergency tasks. Your duties include documenting care needs and follow-up actions in the patient record system, reporting situations to other professionals if needed, and receiving test calls for safety devices. Additionally, you will monitor the condition of clients' devices from device management and report anomalies, such as battery power reduction, to the field. You will participate in the continuous development of the safety assistance service and work closely with partners such as home care and rescue authorities. You will learn to use new systems agilely and will proficiently use the necessary systems (patient record system, emergency system, safety device management system, and sensor data analysis platform). You will be familiar with emergency and crisis center operations in the social and health care sector and the relevant legislation. You understand the comprehensive support services for home living and client needs. The first interview round will be conducted as group interviews in Espoo/Teams from June 8 to June 12, 2026. A possible second round will take place in Espoo between June 15 and June 19, 2026. Please apply as soon as possible, as we will review applications during the application period!
