We are seeking a supervising veterinarian for the South Ostrobothnia joint service area formed by Kurikka and Ilmajoki for a permanent civil servant position. The duties as a supervising veterinarian include veterinary health services under the Veterinary Health Act in the joint area. In the future, duties in food control may also be included. The position is located in Kurikka at the offices of the environmental health director, health inspectors, and supervising veterinarians. You will work with a supervising veterinarian colleague. A license to practice as a veterinarian in Finland is required. Experience in similar tasks is deemed an advantage. We value good communication and interpersonal skills, good written and spoken expression, a constructive work approach, ability to work independently, judgment and decision-making, and proficiency in modern tools. The successful applicant must have a B-class driving license and access to a car for surveillance duties. Salary is determined according to the municipal sector general collective agreement. The work can be done partly remotely following the city's remote-work guidelines. The city's personnel health is supported with the Epassi benefit. Six months probation applies to filling the position. The position will be filled by contract.
