We are now seeking two EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHERS for permanent positions at Metsätie Kindergarten in Nikkilä, Sipoo, starting August 2026, with the start date as agreed. Metsätie Kindergarten currently has one group for children over 3 years old and two groups for children under 3 years old. Each group is staffed by a professional educator team. We are a communicative work community and collaborate regularly across group boundaries. Small group activities are our strength. Play is an important part of our daily lives, and therefore we see the educator's most important task as engaging in children's play. We support the formation of friendships through play and regularly move and play in small groups across group boundaries. Teachers and childcare workers jointly plan activities and modify learning environments based on the children's interests. Through sensitive and warm interaction, we create a trusting relationship between children and educators. The significance of presence is important, and we practice emotional skills together daily. Community is manifested as open, trusting, and active interaction both among ourselves and in cooperation with guardians, without forgetting joy and humor. The eligibility requirement for the position is at least the qualification according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018), taking into account the entry into force and transitional provisions of sections 74 and 75. The selected early childhood education teacher must have excellent oral and written proficiency in Finnish. Remuneration and terms of employment are determined according to OVTES Early Childhood Education Teaching Staff (section G). The level salary for the position is 3111.76 €/month + possible additions. A six-month probationary period applies to the employment relationship. The selected person must present a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002) and an acceptable certificate of health. The Communicable Diseases Act requires the clarification of tuberculosis infection risk for those working with children under school age. Applications are requested by August 16, 2026, at 8:00 PM. Original study and work certificates are to be presented during a possible interview.
