Social Worker

In the southern team for social work and guidance for working-age adults in the Pirkanmaa wellbeing services county, we work in diverse social welfare tasks with adults. The core of our work is to meet and support our 18-65-year-old clients in their various life situations. As a social worker, you will be your clients' primary caseworker, responsible for the processes of service need assessment and client planning. You will act as the coordinator and manager of the networks your client needs and monitor the implementation of agreed goals together with them. In addition to planned work, the team also handles urgent notifications in accordance with the Social Welfare Act, in which case you will go with a partner to meet people in acute situations and arrange the services they need. Your workplace is located in Valkeakoski, but client work is carried out flexibly throughout the Pirkanmaa region. In addition to Valkeakoski, the southern team consists of social workers and guides working at offices in Akaa, Urjala, Vesilahti, and Lempäälä. All our offices are located at health centers or local stations, which lowers the threshold for multidisciplinary work. Working in our team requires a driver's license and access to a car. If the position cannot be filled by an applicant meeting the eligibility requirements, it may be filled on a fixed-term basis by an applicant with substitute eligibility according to Section 12 of the Act on Social Care Professionals. Additionally, we require: - good oral and written skills in Finnish - a client-oriented approach to work - good interaction skills and the ability to operate in different networks - the ability to move within the Pirkanmaa region as required by the job tasks - the ability for independent and team work Considered an advantage: - experience in social services for working-age adults, or addiction, mental health, or disability services - previous experience in mobile and multi-site work - clear oral and written expression and IT skills - a flexible and change-positive attitude The work is full-time day work, and the working hours are 37 hours and 45 minutes per week. A probationary period applies to the substitute position, the duration of which is at most half the duration of the substitute period.
