The Day Surgery ward is located at the modern, high-tech core of the New Children's Hospital. Our ward treats patients aged 0–16 requiring surgical treatment across a wide range of specialties, as well as diagnostic examinations performed under anesthesia and other minor procedures. The children's emergency anesthesia and surgical ward is located on the same floor, with which the day surgery clinical nurse educator works in close cooperation. The clinical nurse educator's operating environment covers both Day Surgery and surgical operations. The duties of the clinical nurse educator include planning and coordinating the orientation and continuing education of the ward's nursing staff, developing and strengthening the nursing expertise of the ward together with supervisors and responsible area groups, ensuring the quality of nursing based on evidence in accordance with the magnetic hospital quality assurance criteria, and patient care duties. The work is primarily performed on weekday mornings. We value an active, innovative, and development-oriented approach to work, as well as excellent interaction and cooperation skills. A suitable higher university degree and relevant experience, or a lower university degree supplemented by studies suitable for the role of clinical nurse educator and relevant experience, or a vocational college degree in the field supplemented by studies suitable for the role of clinical nurse educator and relevant experience. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract required for those working with children in accordance with Section 6, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993). We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health certificate regarding pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units.
