Job Description
We are seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for the relief staff in the resource services of the South Ostrobothnia wellbeing services area. The initial placement is in Vimpeli-Lappajärvi home care. Start date is June 1, 2026, or by agreement. Are you looking for variety in your work and the opportunity to work in different units? The purpose of the resource service unit operating within the South Ostrobothnia wellbeing services area is to ensure the availability of staff during various absences across different units of our service area. You will have the chance to familiarize yourself with different locations and expand your professional skills. We are hiring a licensed practical nurse for a permanent position in the resource service unit, primarily to cover long-term absences (such as annual leave). As a relief staff member, you will have the opportunity to work across a broader area and outside your own unit. We value versatility and willingness to rotate through different social and health care units. We will provide training for the role. The initial placement is in VIMPELI - LAPPAJÄRVI home care. We expect you to have an enthusiastic attitude towards work, good cooperation and communication skills, strong commitment, and the ability to act flexibly in changing situations. The work is mainly in two shifts, with night shifts also possible. A valid driver’s license and own car are required. The qualification requirement is a social and health care basic degree, licensed practical nurse (in accordance with law 559/1994 or 817/2015). Registration with the National Registry of Social Welfare Professionals maintained by Valvira is required as a protected title professional. LOVe medication licenses must be completed or completed within one month of starting employment. Terms of employment and salary are determined according to the SOTE agreement, with a starting salary of €2706/month. A trial period applies to the employment. A certificate of health status and a criminal background check in accordance with law 741/2023 § 28 must be presented before starting the role. A drug test may be required from the selected candidate. HYVAEP is a smoke-free workplace. The role requires vaccination protection against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a tuberculosis certificate as per section 55.
