Are you motivated by professional challenges and development opportunities? If you answered yes, this could be for you: We are seeking a registered nurse for a permanent position at the Avaruus ward of the New Children's Hospital and its associated epilepsy monitoring unit and rehabilitative day unit, whose heart beats for nursing children and adolescents. The work is three-shift work. In the Avaruus ward, orthopedic-traumatological, neurosurgical, neurological, and plastic surgery surgical, follow-up, monitoring, and rehabilitation patients are treated. The ward is an emergency pediatric ward in the New Children's Hospital. The selected person will also take charge of the epilepsy monitoring unit and the rehabilitation unit's patient care operating in connection with the ward. We hope for a customer-oriented and positive work approach and a willingness to develop, as well as an interest in working with children and adolescents. Meeting children at an age-appropriate level and cooperating with parents in various challenging family situations require very good cooperation skills. Previous work experience in demanding specialized pediatric care and the aforementioned specialties is considered an advantage. We value good community skills and the ability to meet people in difficult situations, as well as operation according to the magnet hospital model. On our ward, we invest in the quality of nursing and patient safety. In children's and adolescents' diseases, we have a functional debriefing for stressful situations and our own wellbeing coordinator, whose wellbeing coaching and supervision have been very popular. Our ward has a teaching nurse who will support you during the orientation in cooperation with the actual orienters. The position-specific starting salary is €3,146.75/month plus possible experience bonuses and compensation for inconvenient working hours. We hope that you can start work on September 13, 2026, or by agreement. Eligibility requirements: - Licensed registered nurse. - The selected person must present a register extract required from those working with children in accordance with Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993). - We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient spaces, and a health statement on pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units.
