Are you motivated by professional challenges and opportunities for development? If you answered yes, this could be for you: We are seeking a registered nurse for a permanent position at the Avaruus inpatient ward of the New Children's Hospital, as well as its associated epilepsy monitoring unit and rehabilitative day unit. The ideal candidate is passionate about nursing care for children and adolescents. The work is based on a three-shift rotation. The Avaruus inpatient ward treats orthopedic-traumatological, neurosurgical, neurological, and plastic surgery patients for surgery, follow-up, monitoring, and rehabilitation. The ward serves as the emergency children's inpatient ward at the New Children's Hospital. The selected person will also be responsible for the epilepsy monitoring unit and patient care in the rehabilitation unit. We hope for a customer-oriented and positive work approach, a willingness to develop, and an interest in working with children and adolescents. Interacting with children according to their age and collaborating with parents in various challenging family situations requires excellent cooperation skills. Previous work experience in demanding specialized pediatric care and the aforementioned specialties is considered an advantage. We value good community skills, the ability to handle difficult situations, and operations according to the magnet hospital model. On our ward, we invest in the quality of nursing care and patient safety. We have a functional debriefing process for stressful situations and our own occupational well-being coordinator, whose coaching and supervision have been highly appreciated. Our ward has a clinical teacher who will support you during the orientation period in cooperation with the primary mentors. The selected person must present a criminal record extract required for those working with children in accordance with Section 6, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993).
