Instrument Technician

We are seeking four instrument technicians for a fixed-term position from 31 August to 30 October 2026. Start date is as soon as a suitable candidate is found. The job is a two-shift position, from Monday to Sunday. The service area 4 comprises four units: New Children’s Hospital, Park Hospital, Women’s Clinic and Tammi Hospital. Work environments include operating departments in hospitals as well as obstetric services and outpatient clinics at the Women’s Clinic. Initial placement will be based on the candidate’s competence, experience and suitability for the role. Your duties include maintenance of surgical instrument sets and devices used in patient examination and care, such as cleaning, disinfection and packaging, as well as other instrument maintenance tasks. Ensuring asepsis and patient safety are the most important aspects of your work. Your days will vary with tasks and you work in two shifts from Monday to Sunday. You should have good stress tolerance in a fast-changing environment; we value a development‑oriented and flexible attitude; prior hospital instrument maintenance experience is a plus. You must be 18 years or older. The qualification required is an instrument maintenance qualification; due to the fixed-term nature, a student in the final stages of their instrument maintenance studies can be considered. Finnish language proficiency at a satisfactory spoken level is required. Vaccination against infectious diseases is required for patient and customer areas and a health status check for those working in health care facilities. Salary: the pay is determined according to the SOTE agreement. The role-specific salary is 2578.74 €/month, with possible experience and other allowances. If you are interested, applying is easy.
