The Finnish Red Cross is seeking a Finance and HR Director to strengthen the organization's financial resilience, personnel leadership and adaptability in a changing operating environment. The role involves strategic leadership of finance and human resources, driving changes and ensuring alignment of financial and HR management with the organization's mission. The director will participate in the executive management team and ensure that financial and HR leadership form a cohesive framework to support the organization's core tasks. Responsibilities include long-term development of finances and HR operations, balancing and risk management, resource allocation in line with strategy, fostering collaboration across units, developing processes and workflows in finance and HR, guiding necessary changes, and providing analytics for informed decision-making. Required: strong financial acumen, understanding of strategic HR leadership, proven experience managing complex transformations, ability to view finances, personnel, structures and operations holistically, evidence of strengthening financial sustainability, forecasting and risk management, and experience leading large expert teams with a strategic HR perspective. Fluency in Finnish and English is required; Swedish language skills are considered a plus. The position is permanent and based in Helsinki, with a monthly gross salary in the range of 8,000–9,000 EUR, depending on experience and qualifications.
