We are looking for new teammates to help us build a more sustainable future. We are hiring for the Kirkkonummi Pikkala factory as Quality Controllers (Laadunvalvojia). Your duties will include preparing, measuring and analyzing cable samples. The work takes place in shifts in mornings, evenings and nights. We are seeking two quality controllers: one on a permanent contract and one on a fixed-term maternity-cover until January 2028. The role reports to the supervisor of quality control. Responsibilities include: - Preparing, measuring and analyzing cable samples. - Measuring fiber optics, preparing them for measurements and monitoring during production. - Inspections of cable construction both internally and with customer inspectors (customer inspections have increased significantly in recent years and are a weekly activity in quality control). - Close communication with line operators and production staff regarding measurements and any deviations. - Recording results and reporting using various systems such as FastTrack and Excel. What we expect from you: - Accuracy, perseverance, initiative and flexibility with working hours and shift work. Ability to work within tight schedules and during customer inspection situations. Strong time management, customer service and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Finnish (spoken and written) and English is an advantage. - We also value good computer and manual skills, as the job includes preparing cable samples. We welcome the ability to learn to use measurement devices (e.g., KSM camera, microscope, fiber scanner) and have experience with common measuring tools (e.g., gauge, micrometer). - Education or experience in quality assurance is a plus, and a diligent, upbeat approach to teamwork is important to us.
