We are seeking a part-time Counselor for the South Savo area on behalf of Perhepalvelut Ruori Oy, a national expert in child protection and family work. The role involves working with families in their homes, providing client‑centred support in everyday life, and participating in day-to-day activities with the families. You will plan and schedule your own visits with clients within the agreed timetable; the work is largely independent, with the possibility of working in pairs when needed. The aim is to support positive interactions within the family, safeguard the child’s upbringing, and promote resilience to prevent intergenerational problems, helping families stay together. The job may include family work, intensified family work, and home visits to families with children. This is a shift-based, part-time position with hours varying according to need. The contract is permanent. It is suitable as a secondary job and follows a rotating work-time schedule that may include evening and weekend work. You will work under the private social services sector collective agreement. At Ruori you will have an autonomous and independent working style, supported by a supervisor and team as part of a nationwide child protection organization. What we require: - A higher education degree in social work (sosionomi AMK) and a valid social and health care professional certificate (sote-ammattikortti). - At least 2 years of experience in child protection work or in a role working with children and families. Experience with goal‑oriented and change‑oriented work and with various working methods is desired. - The job is mobile; client visits occur at families’ homes, so a driving license and, if needed, use of a car are essential.
