The Rantakylä Daycare is located in the Rantakylä district, surrounded by forests, outdoor activity spaces and playgrounds, with easy access by good transport links. We are seeking a development‑minded and collaborative Special Education Teacher to strengthen children's growth, learning and well‑being as part of the entire daycare. As the Special Education Teacher, you will act as the pedagogical support expert for the whole daycare, plan, implement and assess supports for children's growth and learning in cooperation with daycare personnel, guardians and multidisciplinary professionals. The role includes supporting daily activities in groups, guiding staff, developing pedagogical solutions and early identification and response to children’s support needs. We expect a positive and solution‑oriented approach, strong interaction and collaboration skills and the ability to meet children and families with sensitivity. We value experience in organizing support in early childhood education, neurodiversity competence, knowledge of emotion and interaction skills, and willingness to develop an inclusive operating culture with the team. You will receive support from your supervisor, daycare staff, other early childhood education specialists in the city and the coordinator of special early education. The eligibility requirement is the qualification under the Early Childhood Education Act §30 or transitional provision §75. The working time averages 38.25 hours per week.
