Welcome to the role of nurse on the HUS Developmental Psychiatry Ward in Lahti. Our creative, skilled and forward-looking team seeks reinforcement. We are inspired by doing meaningful work. We are looking for two (2) nurses for permanent positions starting 1 October 2026 or by agreement. The Lahti ward provides services mainly for people with developmental disabilities who have demanding needs related to autism spectrum disorders, mental health conditions and challenging behavior. The ward also carries out involuntary special care. In this role you will care for patients using evidence-based methods, and participate in the team to assess whether diagnostic criteria are met. The ward prepares various assessments, tests and creates different operating models for daily life of patients with challenging behavior. Our staff’s special expertise focuses on supporting and guiding people with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders and their families. As a nurse you will also participate in developing operations as part of HUS specialized care. We offer 24/7 service. The work is two-shift. You may have long experience or be a recent graduate – we value all kinds of expertise. The requirements include: strong communication and teamwork skills; customer-oriented and proactive approach; ability to treat every patient with respect and individuality; ability to cope under pressure and work in varying situations; experience in developmental disability or autism work is a plus; interest in developing your own and the team’s work. Language requirements: good written and spoken Finnish and acceptable Swedish written and spoken, or good Swedish and acceptable Finnish. We require vaccination against infectious diseases as per the Infectious Diseases Act and health protection in the healthcare units.
