About the role

We are seeking a psychologist to join Lapin hyvinvointialue’s child psychiatry clinic in Rovaniemi for a permanent position. The clinic provides care for children under 13 with psychiatric symptoms and supports families through life challenges and crises. The psychologist will work within a multiprofessional team, contributing clinical expertise, collaboration, and ongoing professional development. Responsibilities include psychological assessments and evaluations, planning and implementing treatment and rehabilitation with the child, family, and network, participating in multidisciplinary care processes, and providing consultations in the multiprofessional team. We value an proactive and development-oriented mindset, good communication and collaboration skills, and expertise in family and network work. Preferable to have experience with children, adolescents, and families, understanding of developmental and neuropsychiatric challenges in children, and experience in pediatric assessment, research and care work. The position requires a license to practise as a psychologist. Terms follow the current SOTE collective agreement. A six-month probation period applies, and vaccination coverage is in line with health and infectious disease regulations. A criminal record extract is required before starting.
