Manual Machinist in Raahe. We are seeking a manual machinist for our client in Raahe to perform varied turning and milling work both at the client’s workshop and on-site in customer production environments. The role largely involves manual machining on lathes, milling machines, and other manual machines, with tasks including repair and restoration of machines and components, interpreting technical drawings, precise measurement and quality control, and independent work across different environments. The work environment is modern and safety-focused, emphasizing high workmanship, responsibility, and cooperative teamwork. The candidate should preferably have experience in manual machining or metalworking education, be able to read technical drawings well, and be capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Requirements include experience or corresponding metalworking education, strong reading of drawings, use of measuring instruments, proactive attitude, ability to work independently and collaboratively, fluent Finnish, a driving licence (B) and willingness to visit various customer sites. Prior on-site machining experience is a plus, but the role offers growth through other applicable machining skills. Work time is day shifts, with a smaller evening shift that may be required. Start date and salary are based on experience.
