Land Use Engineer

Do you want to be part of developing the growing Sipoo? Sipoo is a growing and agile bilingual municipality of 23,000 residents near the Helsinki region. The Department of Community and Environment is responsible for the built environment, management of investments, maintenance of infrastructure and municipal facilities, regulatory work and the planning and management of the municipality’s land use. We are seeking a LAND USE ENGINEER for a permanent position starting 1 October 2026 or as agreed. As a land use engineer you will share responsibility for leasing and selling single-family plots in Sipoo. Your core duties include marketing plots and conducting sales and leasing negotiations with clients and other parties. You will also prepare and implement matters related to plot land lease, as well as other small and short-term land leases and land use permits. Your tasks include handling the municipality’s addressing system and matters related to addresses and notifying on decisions to name streets. You will also provide customer advice and service within your area. The qualifications require a suitable degree in survey engineering, such as a land surveying engineer (AMK), land surveying technician or a diploma engineer, and experience in surveying tasks. Proficiency in Finnish (spoken and written) and adequate Swedish (spoken and written) are required. Success in the role requires good communication, negotiation and customer service skills. We value previous experience of the duties described and willingness to serve customers also in Swedish. The terms of employment are governed by the Municipal Technical Personnel Collective Agreement (TS). The task-related salary is about 3 996,90 EUR per month plus possible allowances.
