Property maintenance technician

The role involves taking part in the maintenance and repair tasks of Arctic Light Collection hotels (Arctic Light Hotel, Arctic Garden Hotel and City-Hotel), including facility upkeep, minor repairs and various technical maintenance duties. It also includes seasonal outdoor area care and snow removal. You will be part of a three-member maintenance team and report to the maintenance supervisor. Daily tasks may include: building maintenance, minor repair and construction work, furniture and space restorations, outdoor area maintenance, snow work and yard care, and transporting materials and supplies to different sites. We highly value experience in property maintenance, construction or carpentry skills, HVAC experience, technical understanding and practical repair skills, valid safety or other trade certificates, and electrical or HVAC know-how. To succeed you need an autonomous work style, practical problem-solving ability and willingness to take on diverse maintenance tasks. You will move around hotel premises and interact with customers, so a service-minded and confident approach to customer encounters is expected. In addition, you need: a B-driver's license; Finnish language skills; English language skills for customer encounters. We offer: a permanent and full-time position; a competitive salary of 3,000–3,600 €/month (including allowances, negotiable based on experience); a diverse and responsible role in a friendly team; occupational health care and other benefits. Work hours are generally on weekday day shifts; from April to October shifts are mainly Monday–Friday 08:00–15:00 or 09:00–17:00. In the winter season the role may include every other weekend work.
