Healthcare Assistant

In elderly care, in 24/7 service housing, a permanent positions for a practical nurse is available starting 1 September 2026. Initial placement is at Mäki-Kevari Kauhava Ylihärmä, a 28-resident home. We emphasize resident-centered approach, everyday life, and meaningful activities; routine rehabilitation to maintain residents’ functioning and quality end-of-life care are central. We seek a worker oriented to elderly work who values daily life with familiar residents and wants to work with their own personality and various skills. In addition to good professional skills, we value flexibility, ability to work independently with clients, good cooperation skills, and willingness to learn. The job is 3 shifts. Qualifications: social and health care basic qualification, practical nurse as defined by law 559/1994 or 817/2015. Register as a named professional in the National Authority for Medicolegal Affairs central registry. Language requirement: good Finnish speaking and writing skills. Licences and hygienic pass must be completed. Terms and pay follow SOTE collective agreement; task-specific pay at start: 2686.71 €/month. Probation period applies. A health certificate and a criminal record extract per law 741/2023 §28 must be presented before starting. May be required to undergo a drug test. HYVAEP is a nicotine-free workplace. Vaccination protection under Infectious Diseases Act 48 § and TB screening under §55 are required. Original educational and work certificates will be checked during interview.
