Vantaan vankila is a modern, closed prison whose central task is to enforce detention and transport of prisoners. It is the largest prison in Finland with 345 inmate places. About 200 officials currently work at the prison. As a prison officer, your duties include ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation inside the prison, safeguarding security and compliance with rules. In addition to surveillance, you provide daily support to inmates and guide them towards a crime-free life in a structured manner. You are responsible for implementing the prison’s duty officer model. The tasks also include transport and surveillance duties inside the prison and outside the facility.
