Primary school teacher

Are you an enthusiastic and collaborative education professional? We are seeking now a full-time primary school teacher for Sipoonlahden Unified School for the 2026–2027 academic year, starting as soon as possible by agreement. The workload will be defined according to the subjects taught. Sipoonlahden koulu is a modern unified school with about 650 students in grades 1–9, and also provides pre-primary education with supplementary early childhood education. The school is located in Söderkulla, Sipoo, in a picturesque, nature-oriented area with good transport connections to Helsinki and Porvoo; Sipoo belongs to the HSL area. Our school community values cooperation and a strong team spirit. Teaching is conducted with a co-teaching model and simultaneous instruction; we therefore value flexibility and experience with activity-based teaching methods. Students use digital learning environments, so strong ICT skills are required. Our classrooms are modern, flexible learning environments that support co-teaching pedagogy. We offer an inspiring and creative work environment where you will develop and try things out together with skilled colleagues. Qualifications are determined by the Decree on the Qualification Requirements for Teaching Personnel (986/98) and include qualifications in one of the mentioned subjects or as a class teacher, and readiness and willingness to teach these subjects. We seek a cooperative, flexible teacher who has enough subject mastery in multiple subjects. Employment terms are governed by OVTES and there is a trial period in public service. The selected candidate must submit a valid health declaration and a certificate of criminal background in accordance with the Criminal Records Act (504/2002).
