We are seeking an enthusiastic, positive and sensitive early childhood professional to join Aurinkokiven päiväkoti in Vantaa for a fixed-term position in a group of 3–5 year-olds. The role includes planning, implementing, developing and evaluating pedagogical activities in accordance with the Vantaa early childhood education plan and unit operational plan, together with other staff. The teacher will be responsible for building the operating culture and learning environment of the group, coordinating daily activities, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. We value good teamwork and interaction skills, the ability to recognize each child’s individual needs, and a willingness to work multi-professionally. We emphasize children’s friendship and emotional skills, and meaningful engagement with children and parents. The unit uses the ProVaka model to support social skills; you will work in accordance with its principles with the unit and staff. There are clear leadership structures; you will have the opportunity to participate in the unit’s leadership group. A special educator supports and assists you on matters related to child support. We offer a warm, collaborative and engaged work atmosphere. Aurinkokiven päiväkoti is located in Kivistö with good transport links; the center hosts five groups, a meeting place and clubs. The kindergarten is part of Aurinkokiven service center which also houses a primary school, student welfare, maternity and child health clinic, music school and art school.
