We are seeking a substitute counselor for the Pohjanmaan wellbeing region with initial placement at Optima unit in Uusikaarlepyy and Oxhamnin school in Pietarsaara. The vacancy begins 26 October 2026 and ends 11 June 2027. Knowledge and experience of working with young people with disabilities are considered advantageous. Eligibility: A university degree referred to in sections 7 or 8(1) of the Social Welfare Professional Act (817/2015) or a degree suitable for social work, education, or behavioral sciences; the degree must include or be accompanied by university studies (60 credits) consisting of social work university studies or studies included in the degree referred to in 8(1). Eligible are also those who meet the requirements under the Act amending the Student and Learner Welfare Act (1146/2021). Good oral and written skills in both national languages of our country. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as referred to in 6 § 2. moment of the Criminal Records Act. A probationary period applies.
