Student Guidance Counselor

We are looking for a substitute student guidance counselor for Jätkäsaaren peruskoulu for the period 1 October 2026 to 5 June 2027. Jätkäsaaren peruskoulu is a bilingual school with over 800 students; the upper secondary unit has about 270 students. We operate in flexible and effective learning spaces, using the whole city as a learning environment. Inclusive teaching arrangements are important to us. Theme weeks structure our school year. As a student guidance counselor you will work in tandem with another guidance counselor (50% at another school), and you will collaborate closely with subject teachers, group instructors, a school coach and the principal. Your work centers on students and planning their further studies in collaboration with guardians. In fixed-term posts, applicants who meet the qualifications will be considered, and also applicants without the required qualification may be considered. Candidates for a fixed-term appointment must submit a certificate of criminal background pursuant to the law on the criminal records of persons working with children (504/2002).
