We are seeking a motivated and skilled early childhood education social worker developer for the Jokiuoma unit’s Laajavuoren day care center. The unit operates parallel management, with one director responsible for staff and another for pedagogy. The unit participates in ProVaka development activities (positive group learning in early childhood education). The role focuses on promoting community spirit, child well-being, participation, and a safe learning environment, with emphasis on preventing bullying, supporting children’s social and peer skills, and supporting and developing parenting. You will participate in multidisciplinary teamwork and, when needed, guide families to other child and family services. Key responsibilities include implementing early childhood education, contributing to unit planning, execution and evaluation; promoting well-being and peer skills; facilitating interaction with families and colleagues; and continuous improvement from a social-pedagogical perspective. Required: knowledge of the early childhood education plan and legislation, collaboration skills, experience with child social and peer development and parenting support, experience with early childhood education methods, well-being and development, independent developing work approach, ability to promote inclusive practices, strong written and spoken Finnish.
