About the role

As a Senior Development Manager, you will join the Delivery Centre, Sustainable Technology Hub at Wärtsilä. Location: Vaasa, Finland. This is a permanent, on-site role. Your duties include analyzing operations data with stakeholders to identify and lead or support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving end-to-end delivery processes. You will be part of the Delivery Management and Delivery Centre – Sustainable Technology Hub team with diverse expertise. Requirements include a proactive approach to problem-solving, deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain logistics, and risk management; monitoring the manufacturing delivery value chain for disturbances; leading continuous improvement initiatives; guiding adoption of Six Sigma and PFMEA; and implementing best practices to improve operations. Qualifications: MSc in Manufacturing or a related field; strong track record in manufacturing operations; knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA; strong analytical skills; ability to manage cross-functional teams; proven track record of resolving delivery disruptions. Requirements

  • MSc in Manufacturing or a similar relevant field
  • Strong track record in manufacturing operations and ways of working
  • Deep understanding of Wärtsilä products and processes
  • Know-how of Lean, continuous improvement, and quality tools, with an emphasis on Six Sigma and PFMEA
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record of resolving critical delivery supply chain disruptions
