Sr. Applied AI Engineer - Zapier - Remote - Global

At Zapier, we build and use automation every day to make work more efficient, creative, and human. We are looking for a Sr. Applied AI Engineer to join our AI Platform team. The role involves building shared infrastructure for AI and ML development, including systems like LLM proxy servers, observability tooling, and ML Ops capabilities. The candidate should have 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in cloud-based ML/AI systems, and 2+ years in LLM/MLOps. Responsibilities include developing core systems, tooling, and standards for AI workflows, working mainly in TypeScript and Python, and improving AI operational capabilities. The role is remote, based in the US or Canada, with a salary range of $231,800 to $347,700, plus equity and bonuses.
