We are seeking a substitute teacher for common subjects at Kajaani Municipal, Kaakko-Kainuu region, to cover the period from September 14 to December 31, 2026, or as agreed. The teacher will be assigned to the Vocational School in Kajaani, within the Learning Support and Shared Courses unit, and will teach and support students according to the curriculum for their subjects: Finnish language and communication, arts and creative expression, and Swedish (and possibly Russian). Duties include classroom and online teaching, student guidance, and independent and collaborative curriculum development with the subject group. The candidate should have mastery of pedagogical methods and tools, a flexible, student-centered approach, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a constructive attitude toward development. A practical, student-oriented approach, ability to meet and accept diversity, and experience with individual and group guidance are valued. The role involves teamwork with other teachers and instructors, and a willingness to employ diverse guidance methods in collaboration with the team and working life. Requirements follow the Education Administration decree 986/1998 (as amended 1150/2017), section 14, for common subjects teachers, with possible consideration of non-qualified applicants if no eligible candidate exists.
