About the role

We are seeking a motivated Early Childhood Education Teacher for Kivistö daycare in Vantaa to join our joyful team in a permanent position starting 1 September 2026 or by agreement. The daycare is located in a quiet residential area and operates four groups for children aged 1–5, with access to a large forest yard. Recently renovated bright interiors enable versatile activities, and we also make use of the nearby Maitopart’s hall for gym and nearby parks and forest areas for outdoor activities. We are a professional, participatory and dynamic workplace where you can contribute to the development of early childhood education and your own work. In our multidisciplinary team you will receive support from colleagues, special educators, development staff and leaders, with structures that sustain group and unit pedagogy. We participate in the ProVaka model, which bases actions on positive reinforcement and promotes inclusive environment and consistent guidance practices. If you are interested in multidisciplinary work, have a good sense of humor and development-oriented professionalism, you may be the teacher we are looking for. Please call or visit us for more information. We will start interviews during the application period and may make a selection as soon as a suitable candidate is found. Graduates will be considered as well. If a qualified applicant cannot be found, the position may be filled with a non-qualified applicant on a fixed-term basis. Why choose Vantaa? Vantaa is a bold and relaxed employer offering an open work atmosphere and opportunities to try new methods. You will receive support from a broad multidisciplinary network around you and we are committed to equality and equity in the workplace. Our city’s employees can benefit from a well-being culture and diverse perks including exercise, wellbeing and cultural benefits, meal allowance, and commuting benefits for public transport. We also provide relocation support of €1,500 for those moving to Vantaa from outside the local area after a six-month probation; relocation is for permanent positions in early childhood education and for heads of daycare or special educators. Submit your application today through our recruitment system. The application window closes at 16:00. The recruitment process may include a video interview. Job start: 21.08.2026 12:12; application deadline: 04.09.2026 16:00. Contact: daycare directors Marianna Viitanen (marianna.viitanen@vantaa.fi, 040 664 2797) and Johanna Ahokas (johanna.ahokas@vantaa.fi, 043 824 9240).
