Head of Local Economic Development

We are strengthening our economic vitality work and are seeking an Economic Development Manager. You will develop the municipality’s vitality services and serve as the managing director of two municipal subsidiary companies under a purchased-services agreement between the municipality and the companies. The position to be filled on 1 January 2027 requires a relevant higher education degree and expertise in entrepreneurship acquired through work experience. Your degree may be, for example, a business degree from a university of applied sciences or a degree in economics and business administration from a university. You may demonstrate your entrepreneurial expertise through your own business activity, among other means. You know how to operate in a limited liability company in accordance with municipal group guidance and company law. In addition to entrepreneurial experience, familiarity with the key principles and financial instruments of rural business financing, and the ability to identify a client’s situation so that you can guide them to further services, will be considered an advantage. We value experience with one or more advisory services. Your working hours are based on total working time. You may state your salary expectation. Other terms of employment are determined by the General Collective Agreement for Municipal Personnel.
