What You Will Do: Contribute to category strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier management, stakeholder collaboration and supplier risk management for metal-related categories. What We Are Looking For: Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience in an international company, exposure to metals manufacturing/metal transformation or metal supplier contracting in India; strong understanding of supplier selection, negotiations, contract principles, open costing and Total Cost of ownership; experience with online tendering/e-sourcing; good Excel; experience in supplier performance follow-up, audits and risk management; awareness of ISO 9000 and related standards; English at least B2; higher technical education, preferably Bachelor’s degree. Responsibilities
- Contribute to category strategy for metal-related categories
- Lead sourcing activities including supplier analysis, negotiations, agreements and contracts
- Manage regional and Group suppliers across quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, contract compliance and risk performance
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, purchasers, business teams and R&D to optimise supplier base and cost structure
- Identify cost reduction, supplier rationalisation and supply chain optimisation opportunities
- Track category KPIs, supplier performance, budget and forecast inputs, and ensure timely reporting
- Ensure availability of components under own management
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience in an international company
- Exposure to metals manufacturing, metal transformation, or metal supplier contracting in India
- Strong understanding of supplier selection, supplier negotiations, contract principles, open costing and Total Cost of ownership
- Experience with online tendering, e-sourcing, or e-procurement software
- Good analytical capability with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience in supplier performance follow-up, supplier auditing, and supplier risk management
- Awareness of international and EU sustainability standards, ISO 9000 and Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management System principles
- Experience working in international teams with good communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
- English proficiency preferred at B2 level or above as per CEFR
- Higher technical education, preferably Bachelor’s degree
