We are seeking an Early Childhood Education Teacher for the 3–5 year old group in Aurinkokiven Daycare in Vantaa. The position is temporary until 31 August 2026 with possibility of contract extension until 13 January 2027. Responsibilities include shaping the group’s culture and learning environment, planning pedagogical activities, implementing, developing and evaluating pedagogical work in accordance with the City of Vantaa’s Early Childhood Education and Preschool Curriculum and unit plan, in collaboration with other staff. We value good teamwork and interaction skills, and the ability to respond to each child’s individual needs. The role requires collaboration in a multi-professional setting, supporting children’s social skills and participation. You will contribute to creating warm interactions with children and their families, and work within a culture of inclusion and respectful dialogue. The unit uses the ProVaka model for supporting children’s social skills, and you commit to operating according to its principles with the rest of the staff. There are clear leadership structures; you will have opportunities to participate in unit leadership discussions. An experienced special education teacher is available to support you on child-support matters. Aurinkokiven Daycare is located in Kivistö with five groups, a drop-in space and club activities; it has diverse spaces and easy access to outdoor activities. The daycare is part of the Aurinkokiven Service Center that also houses a school, student welfare, maternity/child health visits, music and art schools. We look forward to receiving your application.
