Accountant / Administrative Secretary

We are seeking an accountant/administrative secretary for varied duties in a permanent employment relationship. We hope you have solid experience in bookkeeping and preparing financial statements in a rental housing or housing company environment. You work independently and know how to make considered decisions. We value a careful and responsible approach, resilience under pressure and an understanding of the confidentiality involved in financial administration. You are customer-service oriented and enjoy working with people, as you will serve customers by phone, email and in person. We also hope you are a cooperative, decisive and flexible professional who wants to develop your skills and keep learning. You are familiar with the information systems required for the work and are prepared to work with systems such as Fivaldi and Kodia. The accountant's work in practice We offer independent work in which you are responsible for the company's key financial administration tasks and participate in maintaining administrative functions. Duties include bookkeeping, preparing financial statements and tax returns, payroll, accounts payable, rent monitoring and collection measures from payment reminders through to enforcement. You will be an important partner to the CEO and board, producing reports to support decision-making. You will also act as deputy to the CEO when needed and take part in administrative duties such as communications, customer service and coordinating practical housing-related matters. You will work actively with stakeholders including Kela, the Finnish Tax Administration, enforcement authorities and collection agencies. The work also includes, for example, water and electricity equalisation billing, bookings for parking spaces and sauna times, and, when needed, apartment viewings and rental agreements.
