Perhaps you are the new Touhula member whose impact leaves a warm memory for a long future? Touhula Varissuo – what kind of daycare? Touhula Varissuo is a four-group day care in Turku Varissuo. We currently employ 10 educators in the team and now seek a capable Early Years Teacher to join us. Our staff also includes a director, assistants and a daycare helper, and a special education teacher visits regularly. We actively travel and engage in activities such as ice skating and using nearby forests for movement. Inside we have physical activity equipment for children and plan activities with a physical activity approach. We also plan and implement activities across age groups. Multicultural competence, understanding of different language and cultural backgrounds, and interest in culturally sensitive work support success in the role and strengthen the wellbeing of our community. Your role as an Early Years Teacher As an Early Years Teacher you are the pedagogical leader and enabling force of your team. You are responsible for planning your group’s activities and the high-quality vasuprosess (vasu-process) according to Touhula’s pedagogical annual plan, utilizing Touhula Rhythm. Your core tasks are: - Pedagogical leadership: You are responsible for your team’s everyday pedagogy, small-group activities and the construction of diverse and safe learning environments. - Individual support: You design and assess children’s support measures in cooperation with multidisciplinary networks. - Customer experience: You ensure your team’s high-quality customer communication and foster a positive atmosphere that reaches families. - Team support: You develop an inclusive feedback culture and support colleagues’ pedagogical work by leveraging team strengths. We offer the Early Years Teacher a competitive salary, with full-time staff earning between €2,792.02 and €3,343.23 per month.
