Welcome to the radiology specialist position at the Diagnostics Centre of HUS. The Diagnostics Centre is Finland's leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our main area of operation is the Helsinki University Hospital University Hospital District's specialized care and health districts' primary health care. We also cover laboratory and imaging operations for the Kymenlaakso and South Karelia health regions. The Diagnostics Centre employs about 3,400 laboratory and imaging professionals across more than 150 locations. We are now seeking a radiology specialist for a permanent position at the Diagnostics Centre. The position may include a 35% part-time clinical teaching role at the University of Helsinki, applied for separately. We offer you the opportunity to work with modern and diverse technology in your profession, and the possibility to combine clinical radiology with teaching. The radiology specialist position requires a radiology specialty degree and up-to-date, versatile radiology skills with interest in research, teaching and development. The position involves on-call duties. The selection process is coordinated with the University of Helsinki. Applicants must apply separately for the University of Helsinki part-time clinical teaching role (35%) and the HUS radiology specialist position. The selections proceed in parallel in both organizations. If the applicant already has a position at HUS, they may keep their HUS post upon appointment. If the applicant does not have a position at HUS, they will work in a radiology unit assigned in the Helsinki University Hospital district in the Uusimaa region. The applicant may indicate preferences for department/unit within radiology, but cannot unilaterally determine workplace or duties; these will be negotiated before appointment. If the HUS staffing process lapses or if proposals differ, the clinical teaching selection process may lapse. If the clinical teaching appointment differs from the HUS post, employment with Helsinki University is terminated accordingly. The HUS contract remains valid, and is until the University contract is valid. This does not apply to a clinical teacher who already has a permanent HUS post. The task-specific salary starts at 6443.01 €/month according to the physicians’ agreement and HUS advancement scale, plus possible experience and other allowances. There is also a productivity bonus system in radiology. The job start is 1 October 2026 or as agreed. Please apply as soon as possible, no later than 1 September 2026.
