Electrical Distribution Networks Designer

Eltelin Power’s business unit is hiring a permanent Electrical Distribution Networks designer. Your workplace may be in Kuopio, Mikkeli, Savonlinna or Joensuu, but travel is required occasionally. Work will start during autumn 2026 according to the agreement. What kind of work is it about? The design work includes electrical design for overhead line and underground cable networks, arranging permits with landowners and relevant authorities, and creating work documents and material lists as well as invitations to site visits. The role is independent and also involves fieldwork. The job description may also include distribution network inspections, installation work, and being on fault readiness, within the candidate’s professional competence and separately agreed. What do we expect from you? The position requires education suitable to the field such as electrical engineering engineering or other suitable training. We hope for some industry experience and previous experience in design tasks is considered an advantage. As a designer you will interact with different systems, so adequate IT skills are required. You will be dealing a lot with landowners and various stakeholders, so communication and negotiation skills help you succeed. Proficiency in Finnish in working environment is required.
