Substation Specialist

At Rejlers, we work as our clients’ technical partner on high-voltage power lines, substations and electricity distribution networks. Our projects have far-reaching effects, and our designers gain a broad view of the high-voltage electricity distribution network. We are looking for a Substation Specialist to join our expert substation team in a permanent position. You will work on a varied range of preliminary design, expert and development assignments related to substations. You can work from any Rejlers office in Finland, and we also offer flexible hybrid work. What kind of work do we offer? As a Substation Specialist, your duties include: Preliminary and conceptual design of 400/110/20 kV substations in cooperation with clients Layout and section drawings, general diagrams Preparing procurement materials and technical documents Supervising design and providing technical support at different project stages Development and expert assignments related to substations Cooperation with grid companies, industrial businesses and green-transition projects Who is this role suitable for? This role suits you if you enjoy designing technical solutions and want to use your expertise to support clients’ demanding energy-sector projects. Your background may be with a grid company, design office or contractor. We value teamwork, initiative, eagerness to learn and the ability to understand technical systems. We expect you to have: At least three years of experience in primary, secondary or preliminary substation design Command of AutoCAD, MicroStation or comparable design tools Knowledge of substation standards and implementation principles Education relevant to the role Finnish language skills and the ability to communicate in English We also value: Experience in substation construction management or operation Experience in electricity-grid or power-line design or construction management Knowledge of relay protection Experience in testing and commissioning What do we offer you?
