The University of Oulu is a multidisciplinary, international research university. We are now looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work in a two year fixed-term position with our freshwater plant research team for the Kvantum Institute spearhead project Unraveling the effects of contemporary and historical changes in climate and land use on freshwater biodiversity in high-latitude regions of Europe and North America. The role involves conducting research addressing climate and land-use effects on freshwater biodiversity, publishing in journals, proposing new research directions, and may include teaching and co-supervising students. The research team is multinational and based at the University of Oulu, with collaboration across institutions. Requirements include a PhD, experience in ecology and modelling, GIS skills, and fluent English. - Ability for independent scientific work
