About the role

Corewood Oy seeks a Finance leader to join the management team and support the next phase of growth. Corewood is a forest industry logistics services group providing logistics for side streams, logistik for roundwood, bioenergy production, plant services and extensive support functions. The company was formed in 2025 from the merger of Konnekuljetus and Tarkkalan Kuljetus, and the new Corewood brand was launched in March 2026. Owners are the private equity investor Sponsor Capital and the company’s management and key personnel. Our revenue is around €100 million and we employ over 500 people. We are the clear market leader in value-adding logistics for the forest industry. Our aim is to grow annual revenue over the next three years to over €200 million through organic growth and acquisitions, while beginning international expansion. As CFO you will be a member of the management team and a strategic business partner to the CEO, the board and owners. You will combine practical financial leadership with business steering and enabling strategic growth. You will be responsible for overall financial leadership and development, ensuring information, forecasts, decision models and financing support profitable growth. You will act as a thoughtful, analytical and constructive sparring partner for the CEO, management team, owners and operational teams. Your main responsibilities include: external and internal financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, board and public reporting); leading accounting and group consolidated reporting; developing financial control, business steering, forecasting and internal analytics; leading budgeting and forecasting processes and ensuring targets and forecasts are realistic; developing business modeling, pricing, cost accounting, cost optimization and cash flow analyses to support decision making; defining group targets and key metrics to drive actions aligned with strategy; handling investor relations, investments and financing together with the CEO; leading the finance function, developing competencies and standardising operations in the growing group. We expect a motivated, business‑driven finance professional who can operate at strategic and operational levels. You are curious, independent, proactive and pragmatic, and can find a way forward in ambiguous or rapidly changing situations. Requirements: a relevant senior university degree, e.g. KTM or equivalent; at least ten years of demanding senior finance leadership experience; strong experience in group reporting, financial governance and business analytics; experience leading financial statements and reporting processes; IFRS knowledge is a plus; experience or strong view on B2B services, manufacturing, logistics or forest industry; broad experience with ERP and reporting tools; experience with M&A and/or IPO processes is a plus; understanding of investments, financing and value creation for owners; ability to connect financial analysis with commercial insight and pragmatic decision making; excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills in Finnish and English. Requirements

  • A relevant senior university degree, e.g. KTM or equivalent
  • At least ten years of demanding senior finance leadership experience
  • Strong experience in group reporting, financial governance and business analytics
  • Experience leading accounting and group reporting processes; IFRS knowledge is a plus
  • Experience or strong view on B2B services, manufacturing, logistics or forest industry
  • Broad experience with ERP and reporting tools
  • Experience with M&A and/or IPO processes is a plus
  • Understanding investments, financing and owner value creation; private equity environment knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to connect financial analysis with commercial insight and pragmatic decision-making
