We are looking for the Student Services Study Information Services group: An Expert for a fixed-term (parental leave substitute) position until September 30, 2027, to develop and maintain digital tools that support studies. In Study Information Services, various systems related to study information, international mobility, and electronic services are developed and maintained. Aalto University is strongly developing digital teaching and learning services. As part of this development, the university has implemented, among other things, the Sisu study information system and the Salesforce service platform, which together enable the implementation of more effective digital services and processes. This is a demanding expert position that requires user experience and deep expertise in study information systems and/or systems supporting studies, as well as in student services' service processes. In your role, you will handle the information system tasks under your responsibility from a super-user role and act as support for stakeholders and customers. You will be responsible for the long- and short-term planning of system development and maintenance, the development and testing of systems, and the preparation of system operational instructions and content practices, communicate to different target groups about matters within your area of responsibility, and organize trainings and workshops as needed. In the position, you will work in cooperation with various internal Aalto actors (shared services, IT services, schools) and often also with external stakeholders. The actual scope of the task is determined according to the expertise of the person selected for the position. You are the person we are looking for if you already have work experience with university study matters and are familiar with the university's electronic services and/or the study information systems used in study matters and the development work related to them. In particular, previous development experience with the Sisu study information system and the Salesforce system is considered an advantage. You will fit in with us if you have the ability to combine things into larger wholes, your working style is systematic and analytical, and you are accustomed to promoting things with a hands-on approach. We hope that you have excellent cooperation and interaction skills, can operate in a multi-dimensional work environment, and can build a positive and solution-oriented atmosphere. You will fit especially well into our team if you are a bold and open team player, but also find it easy to work independently. We therefore hope for experience in working in networks, an active, solution-oriented and conversational working style, but also the ability to take independent responsibility for your own areas of responsibility. We expect you to have a higher education degree and to use Finnish and English fluently as working languages. Knowledge of Swedish is also an advantage in the position. You will work in a development-oriented expert community that deals with study information systems and electronic service issues. The salary for the position is determined according to the university salary system and is based on the demandingness of the position and personal performance at work. The expert position is at the demandingness level 9–10 of other staff, depending on the final nature of the position.
