We are currently seeking a permanent Terminal Supervisor at the Varkaus terminal. The Terminal Supervisor reports to the terminal manager. The position starts as agreed, but no later than 14 September 2026. As Terminal Supervisor you will be responsible for the overall operation of the wood terminal and act as the supervisor of terminal workers. Safety matters are a key part of the role, from both environmental and personal safety perspectives. You will work closely with the factory production, terminal contractor and wood procurement personnel. Hybrid work is possible, with part of the week spent on-site at the terminal. You will contribute to better climate protection. Your core duties include: leading safety, supervisory duties, acting as the daily operative contact point towards the customer-facing side of the plant, collaboration with stakeholders (terminal contractor, VR, etc.), wood measurement and management of measurement devices, wood reception, storage, wood feed to customers, invoicing and quantity control, involvement in development projects. What kind of candidate are we looking for? A forestry engineer or forester degree, good collaboration and communication skills, as well as IT-system proficiency and organizational capability. Proficiency in Finnish and English is required. A strong work ethic and positive attitude will take you far. What do we offer?
