About the role

We are seeking an Early Childhood Education Social Worker for Harittu Day Care Centre starting August 17, 2026, or by agreement. The duties of the Early Childhood Education Social Worker are to support the positive growth and development of children, promote the conditions for a child's development and learning, and support participation in early childhood education in cooperation with the child's guardians, early childhood education staff, and other experts. The Early Childhood Education Social Worker works together with the early childhood education teacher, child care worker, and, if necessary, an assistant. There is also the opportunity to work across group boundaries and with a regional social worker to organize various trainings or events for staff and guardians. The day care centre's management team (director, deputy director, and VEO) will also support you in your daily work. We expect a child-centered approach, good interaction skills, and a desire to actively develop your work. Applicants who are about to graduate will also be considered. The Harittu day care unit operates in a seaside environment near excellent nature excursion sites across several different locations and offers open early childhood education in addition to day care and pre-primary education.
